뉴욕 K-Radio가 주최하는 제7회 뉴욕 국제 음악 콩쿠르가 2021년 5월 성공적으로 막을 내렸다. 올해로 7회째를 맞이한 뉴욕 국제 음악 콩쿠르는 전 세계에서 실력 있는 아티스트들이 참여하며 열띤 경쟁을 펼쳤다. 특별히 이번 콩쿠르의 Grand Prize와 부문별 1등 수상자에게는 부상으로 미국 연방 의원 Grace Meng 의원상과 뉴욕 클래시컬 심포니 오케스트라와의 협연 기회가 수여된다.
제7회 뉴욕 국제 음악 콩쿠르의 전체 대상 (Grand Prize)에는 피아노의 박주영 군이 수상하였다. 박주영 군은 롱티브 국제 콩쿠르 (Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition)의 우승자이기도 하며, 이번 뉴욕 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서도 뛰어난 음악성과 테크닉으로 전체 대상을 차지하였다. 심사위원 특별상에는 Laurel Springs School 재학 중인 바이올린의 Julia Jones 양이 수상하였고, 피아노 부문 1위에는 Indian Mountain School에 재학 중인 김지우 양 등이 수상하였다.
New York-K Radio, organized by 7th New York International Music Competition successfully ended in May 2021. Marking its seventh anniversary this year, the New York International Music Competition was heated with talented artists from all over the world. In particular, the Grand Prize and the 1st Prize winner of the Competition will be awarded the U.S. Congressman Grace Meng Award and the opportunity to collaborate with the New York Classic Symphony Orchestra.
Ju-young Park(Piano) won the Grand Prize at the 7th New York International Music Competition. He won the winner of Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition. And he also won the Grand Prize at the New York International Music Competition with outstanding musicality and technique. Julia Jones(Violin), who is attending Laurel Spring School, won the Special Jury Award, and Ji-woo Kim(Piano) of the Indian Mountain School won the 1st Prize in the piano category.
